Getting it right in larger homes
Many Surrey homes are large detached properties with high heat demand. Fitting a heat pump to a big house is very doable, but it has to be designed properly: the right size of unit, radiators big enough for low flow temperatures, and a hot water cylinder sized for the household.
Our room-by-room heat loss calculation is the starting point. It tells us what your home needs on the coldest days, so the system keeps the house warm without being oversized.
Village homes off the gas grid
Some Surrey villages aren't on mains gas, and homes rely on oil or LPG. Swapping those for a heat pump removes the tank and the deliveries, and usually brings the biggest savings.

Frequently asked questions
Can a heat pump heat a large house?
Yes, if it's designed properly. Larger homes may need a bigger unit and some radiator upgrades. Our survey tells you exactly what's needed.
Do I need planning permission in Surrey?
Most houses don't, under permitted development. Listed buildings and some conservation areas may. We check at the survey.
Do you cover all of Surrey?
Yes. Send us your postcode and we'll arrange a survey.
